The champagne corks were popping last year as this Burren area favourite became the first Irish pub to be awarded a Michelin Star. Aidan McGrath’s ‘Wild Food From Land & Sea’ includes such treats as Roast Wood Pigeon with Hispi Cabbage, Bacon, Kohlrabi, Carrot, Crisp Pancetta & Pigeon Jus. At €45 for three-courses, it’s excellent value too. Tables are likelier to be rarer than hen’s teath (which are not currently on the menu), but give it a go!
Best Dish: Lamb Rumps & Braised Neck Fillet with Tomato & Sardine Dressing, Broccoli, Pinenuts & Black Olive Jus – as part of the €60 Dinner
