The décor is classy and modern, but the cooking resolutely traditional in this gem of an Italian, which is tucked away down one of the cobbled Temple Bar streets that featured in Oscar-winning movie, Once. Although there’s no shortage of meaty fare – the Bistecca ai Ferri is always done to a T – the specialty of the house is fresh fish and seafood, delivered daily and cooked with real Mediterranean flair. With a wine-list to match, Rosa Madre is one of those restaurants that you just don’t want to leave.
