Huawei’s new monitor is easy on the eye. Upon hoisting the monitor onto a table, you can adjust its height and tilt its angles to suit your seated (or standing) position. It’s light, thin, with a curved surface at the back: an elegant aesthetic that Huawei has mastered across its devices. The screen supports 1920 x 1080 full HD resolution and there are professional colour performance options for graphic designers and video editors.

In an effort to preserve your exhausted eye sockets, the monitor has Rheinland Low Blue Light and Flicker Free Certification, as well as SGS Low Visual Fatigue Certification: incomprehensible jargon that, in a nutshell, makes the viewing experience more comfortable.

Having gazed into the abyss of the MateView, I can attest there are no usual discomforts associated with prolonged screen time. So not only will you save on monitor costs (it’s an affordable €169), you won’t be knocking on the door of Specsavers in a week’s time...
