The giant mural of happy diners sets the tone in this warm, vibrant basement restaurant, which is mere footsteps from Dublin’s main Grafton Street shopping area, and located in an especially pretty part of Stephen’s Green. Inspired starters - it’s the Roaring Water Bay Steamed Mussels with Pancetta that regularly tickles the Best Of Ireland tastebuds - are matched by the meaty and fishy mains, and one of the capital’s most extensive dessert lists. Wine is a big thing too at Peploe’s, as is lunch served from noon to 6.15pm.
