Home to Ireland’s burgeoning grow-it-yourself movement, this food educational centre now has its own wooden beam and glass wall eatery where the distance from plot to plate is about 112 steps. Healthy doesn’t mean that the food isn’t hearty with a Classic Beef Burger with Homegrown Red Onions and Cashel Blue Cheese in a Walsh’s Blaa that puts the McCompetition into the shade. The Squash Falafel, which come from Grow HQ’s own pumpkin patch, are only eclipsed in the starters stakes by their Lamb Meatballs with Tzatziki.
