Now an Irish institution, L’Ecrivain is one of those restaurants where you take a date you really want to impress! The impeccably-trained staff make every visit feel like a performance. As the name suggests, there’s a French influence to many of the dishes but a strong modern Irish ethos in the menu. If you want to push the boat out, the Michelin-starred Derry Clarke has a €95-Tasting Menu that will knock your socks and all your other clothes off. Clarke’s supermarket range includes an Apple & Honey White Pudding that any Full Irish would be proud to have.
