Run by a consortium of Dublin’s finest promoters - Subject, Archetype, Bedlam and Hidden Agenda are all involved – District 8 regularly plays host to some of the finest names in house and techno. Things can get very sweaty – up to 1,000 of the capital’s ravers can be held in the stripped-out ground floor of the Tivoli Theatre. A gargantuan smoking area with an outdoor bar is on hand for those looking to cool off. Visits from ubercool Berghain-owned label Ostgut Ton are common, while other recent highlights include appearances from DJ Koze, Mano Le Tough and Joris Voorn.
