Another of the restaurants that’s put Temple Bar back on the fine dining map, Cleaver East showcases the Michelin-starred talents of Oliver Dunne, who favours traditional cuts of meat and locally sourced seafood. Brad Pitt, Gerard Depardieu and Dublin GAA legend Bernard Brogan all serve as inspiration for his #Pornburger series of poshed-up fast-food treats. There’s a big aesthetic thing going on, with the food looking every bit as spectacular as it tastes. The room is modern yet still warm with lots of leather and polished wood. A bonus for U2 fans is that it’s housed in Bono and Edge’s art deco Clarence Hotel.
