Upon its opening in 2010, audiences instantly took to the Bord Gais Energy Theatre – little wonder, given its impressive decor and brilliant sound. There’s always a huge variety of things going on, with BGET having played host to major international stars of music, former presidential candidates and huge theatrical productions. A particular highlight of 2017 was the barnstorming brace of gigs the Pet Shop Boys played in September. This summer, audiences are in for further treats, as they’ll get to experience Elvis Costello in the flesh, as well as the award-winning musical Hairspray in July.
