New TG4 series Istigh Liom Féin to explore male mental health issues
'Istigh Liom Féin' will look at four men's personal mental health journeys.
A new series made by TG4 airing over their online platforms, Istigh Lion Féin, will explore male mental health issues.
The as Gaeilge show will air through their BLOC channel and aims to break through some of the core stigmas often associated with the issue.
Istigh Lion Féin will explore four men's own personal stories experiences with mental health and how open conversations and dialogue helped them to get through it.
In its first episode, the focus is on Cork's Colm Ó Dubhghaill and is available to view now on BLOC TG4's Instagram and YouTube pages.
Earlier this month, a survey released by the crisps company Pringles in association with Movember found that 59 precent of men admitted being concerned about a male friend’s mental health in the last year.
To raise awareness about the latest research, Pringles and Movember have activated clean art installations across Dublin's streets to open up conversations relating to male mental health.
Stephens Green, Dawson Street and Temple Bar have been clean art, among other busy streets, to raise awareness of the simple questions men can use to start conversations around mental health.
