Joaquin Phoenix appears in a second trailer for Ridley Scotts upcoming Napoleon
Ridley Scott's highly anticipated historical biopic Napoleon has just released its second trailer.
Starring academy award winning actor Joaquin Phoenix in the titular role, Napoleon is set for release on November 22.
The Gladiator director is no stranger to recreating monumental historic scenes and Napoleon is no exception. The film will showcase the Emperor's infamous military tactics using some of the most dynamic practical battle sequences ever filmed.
Scott – who previously worked with Phoenix on 2000's Gladiator – is also reuniting with screenwriter David Scarpa for Napoleon, having worked together on 2017's All The Money In The World, as well as the upcoming Gladiator 2.
Napoleon promises to be an epic, capturing Bonaparte's relentless journey to power through the lens of his obsessive and often volatile relationship with his wife, Josephine played by Vanessa Kirby.
Napoleon is set for release in theatre November 22nd 2023. You can watch the trailer below.
