Katie Taylor, Sonia O'Sullivan and more to appear on this week's Late Late Show
Host Ryan Tubridy will be taking a step back from RTÉ for a few weeks after the final show of the season this Friday.
Ryan Tubridy will be chatting to Ireland's Olympic medalists and Japan hopefuls on this Friday's final Late Late Show of the season.
Olympic gold medalist and world champion boxer Katie Taylor's appearance on the show will mark the athlete's first in-depth interview since turning professional five years ago.
Tubridy will also be joined by Sonia O'Sullivan as she celebrates 21 years since taking home the silver medal in one of the most thrilling finals of Sydney 2000 from her home in the USA.
Team Ireland Athletes will also make an appearance on tomorrow night's show as they enter their final weeks of training for Tokyo 2021. Natalya Coyle (modern pentathlon), Brendan Irvine (flyweight boxer), Nhat Nguyen (badminton), Aoife Cooke (marathon runner), and Rhys McClenaghan (gymnast) will be on to discuss their journey to this year's Olympics.
Trica Heberle, Chef de Mission Team Ireland, and Peter Sherrard, CEO of the Olympic Federation of Ireland, will also be on the show to discuss the unprecedented challenges faced to get to the Olympic Games this year.
Star of The Late Late Toy Show Adam King, who raised €250,000 euro this year for children's charities with his hand drawn "virtual hug," card, will also be on the show with his family to share some news.
To close out the season, The Late Late Show Soul Band is back, this time fronted by Lucia Evans after the success of recent Commitments feature.
The Irish-Zimbabwean singer was the winner of the 2006 season of talent show You're a Star.
The Late Late Show airs this Friday on RTÉ One at 9:35pm
