Irish hopeful Brendan Murray's X-Factor journey ends as 3 acts remain in the final
Brendan Murray's X-Factor journey has come to an end, while three finalists battle it out in the live show next weekend on ITV.
Saturday night's X-Factor show saw the end of Brendan Murray's journey as he was voted out by the public. The Galway singer sang two songs on Saturday's live show, taking on Snow Patrol's 'Run' and the well-known ABBA hit 'I Have A Dream'.
His mentor Louis Tomlinson shared his continued support for Murray, saying "I'm so proud of you, What an amazing performance for you to go out on Saturday with."

"It's been an absolute honor to work with you Louis," Murray replied. "This has been the best time of my live and I'll never forget it, love you man xx," he continued.

After weeks of auditions, batting it out in boot camp and giving their all in the live shows, three X-Factor contestants remain in the final. Dalton Harris, Anthony Russell and Scarlett Lee are the final few in the competition.
Dalton Harris and Anthony Russell represent the Boys, mentored by One Direction member Louis Tomlinson. The two singers were put straight through to the final following the public vote.
Scarlett Lee and Acacia and Aaliyah had the fewest number of votes and fought for a a place in the final in the sing-off. Scarlett Lee won with her rendition of 'This Is Me' from the Greatest Showman, while the last remaining group in the contest, Acacia and Aaliyah, were booted out by the judges.

Lee represents the Girls category and is mentored by Simon Cowell.
The X-Factor live final will air this weekend on ITV.
