Filming underway for SILVERBACK in Dublin, starring Jason Isaacs and Tom Vaughan Lawlor
An official release date for the film is yet to be announced.
Filming for SILVERBACK, starring starring Jason Isaacs and Tom Vaughan Lawlor, has begun in Dublin and Meath.
The film comes as the directorial debut of writer Steven Kenny and is produced by Forty Foot Pictures, a production company based in Ireland and the UK.
“With production up and running, it’s been incredibly exciting to see our story move from the page to the screen," says Kenny.
"At its heart, Silverback explores the power dynamics of male friendship, the responsibility of fatherhood, and our capacity for violence. Tom and Jason are two extraordinary actors perfectly suited to bringing these primal concerns to life. Their performances are the centrepiece of our film.”
The film will follow the story of stay-at-home father Rob, played by Vaughan Lawlor, and his friendship with new neighbour and notorious criminal Terry, played by Isaacs. With the complicated nature of Terry's personal life, Rob must weigh the pros and cons of the new relationship, and how it may effect his family.
An official release date for the film is yet to be announced.
