Fans react to Hozier's Croke Park performance on RTÉ Does Comic Relief
Watch his performance below.
Among the highlights of this weekend's RTÉ Does Comic Relief, which raised €5,071,701 by the early hours of Saturday morning, was Hozier's stunning performance in an empty Croke Park.
In the stadium, which usually holds over 80,000 spectators, the Co. Wicklow musician dedicated a moving rendition of Simon and Garfunkel's 'Bridge Over Troubled Water' to those who lost their lives during the Covid-19 pandemic. It mirrored a similarly emotional televised moment at the beginning of the lockdown, when Hozier performed 'The Parting Glass' on The Late Late Show.
Take a look at some of the reactions to Hozier's performance below:
Wow just wow. This will be watched in 100 years time. The setting. The vocals. The orchestra. The lighting. The hair. The city. The country. @Hozier has me in a heap. https://t.co/FGhCJpjBce #RTEComicRelief #Hozier

Hozier, who was voted Artist of the Decade by Hot Press readers earlier this year, also appeared on RTÉ Does Comic Relief with Aisling Bea – who was on hand to offer the musician some lessons in comedy.
For #RTEComicRelief @weemissbea has been writing jokes for @Hozier and once she finds a theme she really sticks to it.#RTEComicRelief - Friday at 8
