'Derry Girls' creator named one of the 100 most influential women in the world
Lisa McGee named one of the most influential and inspiring women of 2018 due to the successful series, 'Derry Girls'.
Northern Irish playwright, writer and creator of Derry Girls Lisa McGee has been named in BBC's list of 100 inspiring and influential women of 2018. The list compiles incredible women from 6o countries, ranging from 15 years old to 94.
McGee has been added following the success of Derry Girls, Channel 4's most-watched comedy since 2004. The hilarious series boasts a predominantly female cast, often with 11 out of 12 female actors involved in the episodes.
