Adele to make acting debut in Tom Ford film alongside Ciarán Hinds and Daryl McCormack
The film is set to release in Autumn next year.
Grammy-winning artist Adele is set to make her acting debut in Tom Ford's new film, Cry To Heaven.
Ford, best known for his luxury fashion empire, previously made his mark in cinema with the Oscar-nominated A Single Man (2009) and the acclaimed Nocturnal Animals (2016), which earned Michael Shannon an Academy Award nomination. Cry to Heaven marks his comeback to the big screen in over a decade and reunites him with both Colin Firth and Aaron Taylor-Johnson, stars of his earlier films.
Expected to release in Autumn 2026, the film is an adaptation of the 1982 novel by Anne Rice. Set in 18th-century Italy, it tells the story of two men whose lives become intertwined. It is set to be written, produced and directed by Ford, who is also financing the movie.
Joining Adele on screen will be Irish actors Ciarán Hinds and Daryl McCormack, with Nicholas Hoult, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Colin Firth and Hunter Schafer just some of the other big names included in the lineup.
Cry To Heaven is currently in pre-production between London and Rome. It is unknown at this time what part Adele will play in the film. According to Deadline, Ford intends to secure a distributor once filming wraps.
