Actor Luke Perry has died
The 52-year-old had been seriously ill following a stroke last week.
A bad Monday has just become even worse with the news that Luke Perry, the star of such smash hit TV shows as Beverly Hills 90210 and Riverdale, has died five days after suffering a catastrophic stroke. He was 52.
The news was broken in a statement from his publicist:

One of his last acting roles was in Once Upon A Time In Hollywood, the Quentin Tarantino film, which is due in July 26 and focuses on Tinsel Town’s Golden Age.
Appearing alongside such A-Listers as Margot Robbie, Leonardo DiCaprio, Dakota Fanning, Brad Pitt and Timothy Olyphant, he plays western star Scott Lancer with, studio insiders say, considerable aplomb.
The social media tributes have been pouring in with his friend Molly Ringwald saying: "My heart is broken. I will miss you so much Luke Perry. Sending all my love to your family."
Patricia Arquette, another old pal, adds: "Irreplaceable beautiful and kind human being, incredible friend, generous actor and adoring father to Jack and Sophie and loving partner to Madison we are all heartbroken. You are the love and you are the light."
Ryan Seacrest comments: "Luke Perry was a great actor and truly one of a kind. Watching him on 90210 was one of the reasons why I wanted to move to LA. Thinking of his family and friends on and off the set. Rest in peace."
Justin Baldoni professes to being: "Heartbroken. This can’t be real. Luke is one of the most kind, down to earth and hard-working men in this business. Gutted for his family, and friends. He was so young. Damnit. Praying."
