Channel 4 have released the first trailer for Derry Girls's highly anticipated second season. The Northern Irish comedy was created by stage and screen writer Lisa McGee.
The first season of Derry Girls, which premiered in January 2018, was met with critical acclaim, and soon became the most watched series in Northern Ireland since modern records began.
The series won Best Comedy at the IFTA Gala Television Awards, while McGee took home the award for Best Writer for Comedy/Soap.
In January, it was announced that the return of Derry Girls would be celebrated with a mural of the cast in Derry. The series was also recently added to Netflix US.
While Channel 4 have yet to announce a release date for the series, the trailer indicates that the second season is 'Coming Soon'.
