WATCH: Sailing Stones performs "Emmanuel" live at home
The track features a host of Irish, UK and LA based musicians, all recorded remotely during isolation.
Jenny Lindfors (aka Sailing Stones), found her UK tour postponed indefinitely, like so many other artists. She decided to enlist the help of many of her vocalist friends for an uplifting track calle 'Emmanuel'.
Included on the track are Jess Kav (BARQ), Daisy Palmer, Samantha Whates, Jo Silverston, Hazel Mills, Misha Law, Carolyn Reeves, Jodie Marie, Tadhg Cooke, Joanna Messore, Caroline Kiernan, Clara Murray, and Alyanya Massey. They all recorded video singing parts from home and sent them to Lindfors, who edited everything together to make the track.
Lindfors was so pleased with the experiment that she decided to put it up for sale on Bandcamp. All proceeds from the track will go to the Project Mama COVID-19 Solidarity Fund, a Bristol charity that provides antenatal, birth and postnatal support for female refugees, asylum-seekers and other displaced women.
