That was certainly the case with Fleetwood Mac whose rise to global megastardom was accompanied by breakdowns, divorce, bankruptcy, disappearances and nostril destroying cocaine habits. The Mac’s original bass player, Brunning eschews tabloid sensationalism in favour of a balanced overview of their five-decade long career. Even so, there are a couple of chapters that are up there with Hammer Of The Gods in terms of bonkers excess.
