Tech: Ireland's first sustainable phone launches
Good call for the environment
Vodafone has teamed up with Fairphone, Fairtrade's smart phone company, to launch Ireland's first sustainable smartphone.
Fairphone 3 is a phone that lasts longer, apparently, without compromising on functionality. Unlike regular smartphones, which we send to the scrap yard after cracking a screen, this phone can be upgraded with new screens, batteries, speakers, or whatever else is required.

Sculpted from 40% recycled plastics, Fairphone operates on Android, has 64GB of memory, and costs €429 on Pay As You Go.
