Somebody's Child drops infectious new single 'Love That Sound'
The Dublin producer weaves through multiple genres as he solidifies his place in the Irish music scene.
Somebody's Child was supposed to write songs for other artists. That's hard to believe when the Dubliner presents his intricate, larger-than-life tunes. His fifth single 'Love That Sound' is out January 9th on all streaming platforms.
'Love That Sound' boasts a punchy bass line and lyrics filled with pure joy. It's an infectious mood, and musically complex in a way that adds gravitas. "Sometimes all we need is to just feel better about ourselves," he says about the track. "That was a recurring thought when writing the lyrics. The melody certainly gave way to the lyrics on this one. The music felt like it needed to be about showing love to oneself and one another."
'Love That Sound' seamlessly blends gospel, pop, and elements of funk. The producer, while obviously still trying to find his feet in a world of ever-changing trends, is undoubtedly one of the more talented members of the Irish scene.
