Over a hundred celebrities pledge to stop Trump
As part of MoveOn.org's "United Against Hate" campaign
A seemingly endless number of celebrities have already spoken out against Donald Trump, and now we can another hundred to the list.
As part of MoveOn.org's "United Against Hate" campaign, over a hundred celebrities pledged "to use the power of our voice and the power of our vote to defeat Donald Trump and the hateful ideology he represents".
The group cited the Republican candidate's hateful rhetoric against women, Latinx people, people with disabilities, and other marginalized groups.
"Some of us come from the groups Trump has attacked. Some of us don't", the letter reads. "But as history has shown, it's often only a matter of time before the 'other' becomes me."
The letter's signatories include Mark Ruffalo, Bryan Cranston, Kerry Washington, Lena Dunham, Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, Shepard Fairey, Michael Stipe, Neil Patrick Harris, Olivia Wilde, Moby, Talib Kweli, and The Art of the Deal ghostwriter Tony Schwartz, who has been outspoken about Trump's unsuitability for the White House.
