Michael Bay's Netflix Film 6 Underground Adds Melanie Laurent

Netflix announced today that Inglourious Basterds' Mélanie Laurent and The Night Of's Payman Maadi are joining Michael Bay's 6 Underground.

Plot details are currently being kept under wraps. However, we do know the action flick is based on an original idea from writers and executive producers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, best known for their work on the Deadpool films and sci-fi Life.

Laurent and Maadi join the already stacked ensemble cast including Ryan Reynolds (Deadpool), Corey Hawkins (BlacKkKlansman), Adria Arjona (True Detective), Ben Hardy (upcoming Bohemian Rhapsody) and Dave Franco (Bad Neighbors).

The film, produced by Skydance, will start filming later this month and will be released worldwide on Netflix in 2019. It will be Bay and Reynolds' first project for the streaming service.
