Chris Walley Receives Olivier Awards Nomination
The Young Offenders star shared his reaction on Twitter.
Chris Walley has been nominated for Best Actor in a Supporting Role at the Olivier Awards for his performance in The Lieutenant of Inishmore.
The prestigious nomination continues the rise of Walley, who received an IFTA Award in 2018 for his role as Jock in The Young Offenders. The 23-year-old screen and theatre actor also previously received the Breakthrough Brit Award at the BAFTAs.
In The Lieutenant of Inishmore, a play by award-winning playwright, screenwriter, director and producer Martin McDonagh, Walley has the role of Davey. The black comedy about the leader of an Irish National Liberation Army group and the ensuing events after he discovers his cat has been murdered.

The Olivier Awards will take place at the Royal Albert Hall on April 7.
