Beastie Boys memoir given release date
The release date for the Beastie Boys memoir, which will chronicle the history of the beloved hip-hop trio, has been given a release date.
The two remaining members of the Beastie Boys, Michael Diamond “ADROCK” and Adam “Mike D” Horowitz, will detail the group’s meteoric rise from teenage punks to cultural icons.
The memoir - simply entitled Beastie Boys Book - will consist of not only humour-filled narratives, but also rare photos, original illustrations, a cookbook by chef Roy Choi, a graphic novel, a Beastie Boys’ map of New York along with much more.
I’m not sure if you remember, but a while ago we said we were gonna write a book about our band. Well, it’s almost done and it’s coming out soon. This is what it’s gonna look like. Kinda nice, right?

Beastie Boys’ core line-up also included Adam “MCA” Yauch, who died of cancer in 2012 aged 47. Formed in 1983, the group fused punk-rock with hip-hop to become one of the most original and instantly recognisable rap groups of all time.
Their albums Licensed to Ill, Ill Communication, Hello Nasty and To the 5 Boroughs reached No 1 in the US, and they have sold more than 50 million albums worldwide.
The publish date for the memoir has been announced as 1 November through Faber, available as both an eBook and in hardback.
