The 1975's Matty Healy talks Greta Thunberg, politics, sex, heroin and Covid-19 in the new Hot Press
The new issue of Hot Press is out now!
Ahead of the release of The 1975's highly anticipated new album, Notes On A Conditional Form, frontman Matty Healy continues his path to world domination as the cover star of the new issue of Hot Press – hitting shelves today, May 21, and available to order online now.
Little did we know that The 1975’s March show in 3Arena would be one of the last major gigs in Ireland before coronavirus wrought unprecedented havoc. Backstage in his dressing room, Matty Healy was of a mood to address the more dystopian elements of modern society.
Also up for discussion were the band’s stunning new album Notes On A Conditional Form (out tomorrow, May 22), Greta Thunberg, politics, sex, heroin and tabloid scandal.
In a special update, we also caught up with him in lockdown for his thoughts on the Covid-19 crisis.
This special double-cover of Hot Press also features interviews with The Strokes, Rina Sawayama, Lennon Stella, Celeste and XL Records boss Richard Russell, as well as our other cover star, globe-conquering Glaswegian Gerry Cinnamon.
The new issue of Hot Press, featuring cover star Matty Healy, is available to order online below:
