The Thrash-Metal Gods are set to make their first appearance at Slane, performing on Irish soil for the first time in over a decade and unsurprisingly they’re bringing a stacked slate of special guests with them to Co. Meath.

Their packed roster includes Irish punk rock bands Stiff Little Fingers and Fangclub as well as Norwegian Rockers Ghost and Bokassa.

After plans to possibly play last year fell through due to stage layout issues for their pyrotechnics show, drummer Lars Ulrich had hoped to play in Ireland in 2019.

So, with the stage now set, there is no doubt this Slane will be a memorable one, with metal heads all over the country flocking to see one of the most important bands the genre has ever seen.
