Days after the world lost a true icon, tributes continue to pour in from music's biggest stars
Kate Bush has penned a heartfelt message in memory of Prince.
The late music icon passed away on Thursday, and in a piece posted to her website, Bush acclaimed him as 'an inspiration'.
"I am so sad and shocked to hear the tragic news about Prince," wrote the English artist. "He was the most incredibly talented artist. A man in complete control of his work from writer and musician to producer and director. He was such an inspiration. Playful and mind-blowingly gifted. He was the most inventive and extraordinary live act I've seen. The world has lost someone truly magical. Goodnight dear Prince."
LCD Soundsystem paid tribute to the Minnesotan legend during their headline slot Coachella by covering the 1981 track 'Controversy'. While at charity concert in Santa Monica, Chris Martin and a group of teenage school children covered Prince's 'Raspberry Beret'. Speaking to the kids before the gig, Chris said, "‘Let’s do this song. It’s a very famous Prince song and they said, ‘We don’t know it. We’ve never heard of it. We’re like 14.'"
