Meanwhile, one of Prince's new albums debuts in the Top 10.
The autumn 'Big Three' remain the same at the summit of the Irish Albums Chart this week, and they don't come much bigger than Hozier's debut album. Hozier went platinum at the first week of asking and outsold the rest of the Top 15 combined. There has been no drop off this week, as the Bray man sits pretty at No. 1.
Just below him, once again, is the legendary Leonard Cohen and his Popular Problems. The Scripts' No Sound Without Silence is in third position on its third week in the chart.
Clearly excitement levels are rising ahead of his four 3Arena shows, kicking off tonight, as Ed Sheeran sees his x rise two spots into fourth place. An even bigger climber is George Ezra. His Wanted On Voyage debut jumps from No. 14 to No. 5. He'll be in Dublin and Belfast on October 13-14.
Prince has not one but two brand new albums out this week. His solo effort, Art Official Age, is at No. 8, while his effort with 3rdEyeGirl PlectrumElectrum debuts at No. 14. That's just below another new entry of note – the reissue of Oasis' (What's The Story) Morning Glory? is at No. 13.
