A new comedy stand-up starring Amy Schumer will air this month
Over the past couple of years, American comedian and actress, Amy Schumer, has been beginning to make headlines in the press.
Schumer is recognized for her witty humour that strives to promote female empowerment and combat issues of gender.
As of September 6, her recently released film, Trainwreck, grossed approximately $133.2 million in the box-office worldwide. Her comedy series, Inside Amy Schumer, has also garnered significant popularity attracting viewers on a global scale
Now, Schumer is continuing to wow her audience by releasing a new stand-up special called Amy Schumer: Live at the Apollo. The routine series takes place at the Apollo Theater in New York City, and is directed by the critically acclaimed Chris Rock.
In the teaser trailer, Schumer acts as her usual self, cracking open a bottle of wine to begin her stand-up routine. She openly and hilariously discusses the struggles of being a single lady, and quips about her urinary tract infection.
The special is supported by HBO and is scheduled to be released on October 17.
