The Chalets split
After a long period of inactivity and speculation, The Chalets have confirmed they are no more.
The split was initially reported by Hot Press blogger Naomi McArdle and later confirmed by a post on the band's MySpace.
It reads simply: "Hi Chalet stalkers. We just wanted to let y'all know that we won't be releasing any more records or playing any more gigs. We had loads of fun!"

The group won Best New Band at the Meteors in 2005 and went on to global acclaim with their songs featured on television (Grey’s Anatomy, TG4’s Aifric), video games (Outlaw Tennis) and film (Madagascar) and they were also chosen as theme music to MTV Ireland’s branding campaign.
