Joey Bada$$ unveils new single 'Land of the Free', announces release of second album
The America hip-hop artist will release his new record, All-Amerikkkan Bada$$, on April 7.
Led by the track 'Land of the Free', All-Amerikkkan Bada$$ is a politically-conscious reflection on the state of America (as the album's title makes clear) and the racial tensions in the country following Trump's election. In his sophomore album, Joey raps with the kind of socially aware astuteness that mirrors fellow rappers Kendrick Lamar or J. Cole, and with a potent protesting lyrics that reminds you of rap duo Run The Jewels.
Joey Bada$$ released his first album B4.Da.$$ in 2015. Following this, the Brooklyn-born artist had a recurring role on the second series of critically-acclaimed USA Network series Mr. Robot. Now, the 22 year old rapper is gearing up for the release of his second album.
