Courtney Love has posted a touching message online, dedicated to "the greatest true love" of her life, the late, great Kurt Cobain of Nirvana.
It is widely accepted that the festive season between Christmas and the New Year can be extremely difficult for anyone who has lost a loved one. No matter how many years have passed, Christmas tends to offer a stark reminder of those that have passed away.
It's been over 21 years since Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain died. 2015 saw a revived interest in Cobain, with the release of the insightful, poignant, yet disturbing documentary, Montage Of Heck. Now, his wife Courtney Love, has book-ended a year that has added lustre to the deceased grunge hero's legend, with a heartfelt written tribute.
Love posted a family picture on her official Instagram, featuring herself, Kurt, and baby daughter Francis Bean that was taken at Christmas. Underneath the photo Courtney wrote: "That Christmas moment in everyones lives that you never forget, the one that makes you feel on top of the world, where the greatest gifts are the loved ones you shared that moment with.
"Well this is mine, I'm grateful to have ever experienced that moment. Merry Christmas Kurt, the greatest true love I've ever experienced in my life. You gave me the gift that makes life worth living, our incredibly talented, loving, beautiful and gifted daughter Frances Bean Cobain."
