WATCH: Rachel Barror shares trippy visuals for new single ‘Kaleidoscope’

Rachel Barror has released her new single ‘Kaleidoscope’, along with an accompanying music video.

The independent artist delves into alternative indie-pop with ‘Kaleidoscope’, which was written during the summer of the first lockdown. “It was a kind of an escape from the heaviness that was in the air at the time,” she says.

The video incorporates kaleidoscopes and captures visuals of the singer swaying carefree to the simple, soft yet powerful song. Barror recorded and produced the track in her home studio.

“It almost felt like painting a blank canvas, starting with the piano melody and then building the instrumentation around that, weaving the vocals and harmonies around it,” she comments.

This is the singer’s first release of 2021 and follows up a prolific spell in 2020, when she released a slew of lauded singles including ‘I will Follow’, ‘Ground Up’, ‘Solaire’ with Baran Ertem, ‘Young At Heart’, and ‘Dublin City Lights’, featuring Donnie Dublin.

Barror is set to play at the Spice of Life Piano Bar in Soho on August 15 this year.
