The Waterboys Live at the Marquee
The Waterboys deliver a Soul-Stirring performance Live at the Marquee! Led by the enigmatic Mike Scott, the renowned band showcased their unique blend of folk, rock, and Celtic mysticism, delivering a concert that was both nostalgic and a testament to their enduring creativity. On a balmy evening in Cork, the iconic BIG TOP buzzed with anticipation for a band that has consistently defied categorisation for over four decades.
From the moment Scott strode on stage, the atmosphere was electric. The band, a tight and masterful unit featuring the mesmerising keyboard work of "Brother" Paul Brown, the solid drumming of Eamon Ferris, the majestic James Hallawell on Hammond organ, keyboards, and backing vocals and the rhythmic anchor of Irish bassist Aongus Ralston, launched into a set that spanned their rich and varied discography.
Support was from the Manchester-based The Deep Blue.
