They did it again. On June 25th 1983, Sting and his bandmates scored their fourth UK No. 1 album with ‘Synchronicity’. We’re talking about The Police, a band that already reached the sky with their single Roxanne in 1978, but the English trio had one more thing to say with songs like 'Every Breath You Take' and 'Wrapped Around Your Finger' before Sting started a solo career that would only expand his popularity around the world.
We have some really cool images of Sting and The Police era in our photo archive that we wanted to share with you during these spinning times, including that controversial portrait Colm Henry took of Sting posing next to a ‘legalise marijuana’ graffiti and a few photos of the musicians turning into photographers for one day.
