The Cliffords at Cyprus Avenue (Photos)

WOW! What a homecoming! Cork Indie/rock band The Cliffords RIPPED it UP on Saturday night at Cyprus Avenue. Consisting of bass and trumpet player Gavin Dawkins, lead guitarist Harry Menton, drummer Daniel Ryan, their newest member Locon O'Toole on keys, and centre stage rhythm guitarist and lead singer Iona Lynch. The band were back Leeside showcasing their recently released debut EP “Strawberry Scented" with an epic show. The former winners of UCC Battle of the Bands in 2022 returned to Cyprus Avenue where the only battle was for standing room.

On a night where three fabulous bands were on stage, the one common thread throughout was the dominating performance by all three lead singers. Opening the show was Dublin-based artist Anna Leah, next was Cork-based Hannah Bella ( (aka Hannah Thornton) but the night belonged to Iona Lynch and The Cliffords.
