Metallica: Loading Archive Photos

On June last year Metallica came to Slane as conquering heroes for a show that heavy metal fans enjoyed as a historical date over the lands of the Conyngham family.

Today we’re also remembering that this day in 1996, Metallica went to No.1 on the US album chart with their sixth studio album, ‘Load’, a record that has now sold over five million copies in America alone.
