Our pal Emma Langford has drawn our attention to this absolute pearler of a tune from Lucidy, a Portarlington trio whose 'Green & Gold' reminds us older Hot Press scribes of the mighty Tears For Fears, Howard Jones and Art Of Noise. Whoever they've got in their record collections, it's an immaculate slice of electro pop.
Available now on their Bandcamp, all proceeds have gone to the 'Do It For Dan' campaign, which has achieved its target of raising €2 million for life saving treatment for honorary fourth member of the band, Dan Donoher.
We wish little Dan, who has Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) Type 1 and Scoliosis, and his family all the best for the future.
