Kingfishr Live at the Docklands (Photos)

The HOMECOMING of Homecomings for Kingfishr LIVE at the Docklands! Eddie Keogh, Eoghan 'McGoo' McGrath, and Eoin 'Fitz' Fitzgibbon fledgling careers kicked off three years ago after meeting at UCL, and so the story of Kingfishr began. After meteoric success on Friday night, the trio returned to Limerick's LIVE at the Docklands for their biggest headline show.

It was a special night on so many levels. Limerick, being the band's starting point, Dolans, being the first place the band played, and returning home on the day their debut album 'Halcyon' was released. The atmosphere was building from the start with the home band, Dylan Flynn and The Dead Poets, kicking the night off. Next on the bill were Will Taylor and Nicolas Hill from the English band Flyet. Sadly, their full band was held up on a ferry, but both Taylor and Nicolas continued with a rousing set.

The Kingfishr party kicked off with 'I cried,I wept' and was followed by 'Saviour'. Lead singer addressed the crowd at the end of the song, stating, "Hello Limerick! It's great to be home. I don't have words for how we feel about tonight, but I just want to thank every one of you." and from there it was back to the music and the party. During the song 'Shot In The Dark', Eddie made his first foray into the crowd. This turned an already frantic crowd into a frenzy. The next highlight was for 'Killeagh' when the band brought out a young boy named Robbie, who had posted his cover version of the song on TikTok. Now he was singing live with his heroes, and the crowd went wild again! Eddie was back crowd surfing again for 'Flowers Fire', and for the encore, the band finished an EPIC night with 'Banjolude' and 'Eyes Don't Lie'.
