Jimi Hendrix: remembering the incendiary guitar shaman

50 years ago today we lost a music giant, the voodoo child of the Stratocaster and the man who used to set the stage on fire (quite literally) with an incendiary way of playing his guitar.

He died in London at the young age of 27 leaving a lot of conspiracy theories and rumours behind just showing how the world already missed this guitar anti-hero.

From his first single with The Jimi Hendrix Experience to his last performance, we miss him too. Especially when we look at his memories through photographs we carefully selected from our photo archive. Each one of our readers will probably remember him in a different way but we’d like to think he’s somewhere riding a buggy like the one he’s driving with a crafty smile on one of the pics.
