Guinness Cork Jazz Festival - Official Opening (Photos)

IT's JAZZ TIME! It's the October holiday weekend, and that means only one thing in Cork City: It's Jazz Weekend. The Guinness Cork Jazz Festival was officially opened last night by the Lord Mayor of Cork, Councillor Fergal Dennehy, and Colin Kenny- Sales and Quality Manager of Diageo. Special guests on the night were Nigerian-born, Irish-raised artist Toshín and renowned classic American soul singer Lee Fields. The opening night of the festival also featured performances by Saxophonist, flautist, and producer Chip Wickham at the Triskel Arts Centre, Dublin artist Richie Egan under his moniker Jape at Kino, and Live at St. Luke's included Syano, Smithereens, and Projective.
