Genesis is back: Phil Collins in times of prog-pop (Photos)

One of the most anticipated gigs this year is the return of Genesis with (some Peter Gabriel fans may differ) the original line-up of the band. Phil Collins on vocals will be joined by Tony Banks on keys and Mike Rutherford playing the bass, with Collins' son, Nic, on drums and long time guitar and bass player Daryl Stuermer on stage.

Genesis started without Collins in 1967, who later on joined the band as a drummer (look how madly happy he looks on those photos behind a set of drums!) and eventually became the lead singer after Peter Gabriel's departure. As we can see on this set of photographs from the Hot Press Photo Archive, the band's line-up has been through a lot of dramatic changes but their gig at 3Arena on 16 & 17 November is a come-back only comparable to the Turn It On Again tour in 2007.
