Pure Unadulterated 90s Energy! FIVE turn back the years with high-octane hysteria LIVE at the Marquee. There is a unique kind of magic that happens when you put a 1990s boy band in front of a packed Cork crowd under a massive big-top. For last night's headline slot Live at the Marquee, British pop icons Five turned back the clock to 1999, transforming the Leeside tent into a roaring, bouncing time machine.
Cork native Allie Sherlock delivered a stunning homecoming performance to set the scene perfectly. Armed with her signature undeniable vocal presence, she commanded the big top with effortless poise.
Jason "J" Brown, Abz Love, Ritchie Neville, Scott Robinson, and Sean Conlon brought their vocal prowess, synchronized choreography, and cheeky charisma to make the tent feel like it was bursting at the seams.
From the absolute second the opening bars of "Slam Dunk (Da Funk)" dropped, the energy inside the Marquee was electric. It’s clear that Five's catalogue was built exactly for this kind of communal, high-energy festival atmosphere. They didn't let the momentum slip for a single second, ripping through an arsenal of consecutive chart-toppers.
