Fifteen (actually, let's make it 20) more '90s Irish bands that should have been MASSIVE!
We knew that Hot Press readers were passionate about their '80s Irish rock 'n' roll but, jayz, the response to our first Fifteen '90s Irish Bands That Should Have Been MASSIVE! list has blown us away.
Needless to say, there has been some (reasonably) polite questioning of our sanity for omitting various acts from what was an outstanding decade for homegrown talent. After a virtual water cooler chat, we've decided to include The Frames by dint of the fact that 1). They've never been as commercially ginormous internationally as they have been here and 2). We really, really want to see the famous £2 'Revelate' CCTV video again.
Seeing as it's us that makes the rules, this latest Fifteen '90s Irish Bands That Should Have Been MASSIVE! contains twenty groups and by the time we get a couple of scoops into us tonight will probably be up around the fifty mark.
Whilst working your way through that considerable lot, give some thought as to who should make it on to the '00s list, which we imagine will be no less keenly contested!
