Cian Ducrot Live At The Marquee (Photos)
Cian Ducrot made a triumphant homecoming to Cork's iconic Live at the Marquee over the weekend with two sold-out shows. The atmosphere was charged with a tangible sense of pride and excitement as the Cork native delivered both intimately personal and powerful performances.
Making his debut at the famous BIG TOP on Saturday night, the singer/songwriter kicked off with the upbeat 'Who’s Making You Feel It', which had brought cheers and screams from his fans. A multitude of phones were on show as he took to the piano for a solo of 'Little Dreaming'.
Engaging with the crowd for the first time, the Passage West native showed his emotion: "Cork, how are you?" He shouted from the edge of the stage, "This is the most incredible feeling that I have ever felt. I want to say I love you so, so much." 'Shalalala' got the upbeat vibe going again, but his guitar was a little out of tune. This didn't stop him. "Will I chance it?" he said, laughing, "If it doesn't work, I have all of you to help me." Both nights continued like this as Ducrot showcased his immense voice and ability to interact with his fans.
Support on Saturday was country pop group Remember Monday from the UK, and then for Sunday, singer-songwriter Hetta Falzon warmed the crowd.
