Zola Jesus announces Whelans, Dublin gig
The dark synth-pop visionary is touring in support of a new album.
Unsettling, jagged, but beautiful - this neatly characterises the output of Nika Roza Danilova, better known as Zola Jesus.
After multiple personal traumas, she has returned with an album that will be a powerful piece of work, if new song 'Exhumed' is any indication.
She will come to Whelans, Dublin on November 6 in support of the record.
The 11-song album marks her return to her original record label Sacred Bones, and according to the press release has musical similarities with the material released in her early career.
A press release states that Zola Jesus was assisted in the project by "longtime live bandmate Alex DeGroot, producer/musician WIFE, cellist/noise-maker Shannon Kennedy from Pedestrian Deposit, and percussionist Ted Byrnes".
Tickets are priced at €22 and go on sale on July 14 at 9 a.m through Ticketmaster and other usual outlets.
