Zaska to launch debut album 'It Takes a Village' at the Button Factory.
The debut album, “It Takes A Village,” by ZASKA will launch on 8 February 2019 with a party at the Button Factory in Dublin. Tickets are available now through zaskamusic.eventbrite.ie and are €15 online or €18 at the door.
“It Takes A Village” features 14 renowned Dublin-based vocalists, including Wyvern Lingo, Loah, Emma Garnett and Carly Coonagh along with performances by members of Little Green Cars, BARQ, Super Silly, and more. It was produced by Max Zaska with James Smith of Gypsies on the Autobahn as serving as Executive Producer.
Known for his feel-good blend of funk, jazz, and R&B, Max Zaska is the maestro and songwriting-guitarist at the helm of a revolving supergroup of Ireland’s finest talent, that has included Hozier among its vocalists.
The first single from the album, “Cannot Will Not” featuring Loah and Emma Garnett was released on 16 November and quickly gained almost 10,000 streams on Spotify. The album was a result of a crowdfunding campaign that raised more than €14,000 on the
FundIt platform, the third-highest amount and the highest number of individual donors that year.
